Trombonanza! Two: Trombone Choir and Workshop to be held in at the RCM on Satruday November 20, 2021 with guest presenter Robert Thompson.
We welcome brass musicians, staff and students of a community band level and above.
COST: $25 - includes afternoon tea
Bio: Robert has forged a career in providing quality music education in regional and rural areas. He has established bands in fifteen schools and was the founding conductor of the Riverina Youth Orchestra. He has a wide range of experience in all styles of trombone playing and has fifteen Australian and NSW Championship titles to his credit as a conductor, soloist and band member. He was the Principal trombone of Gunnedah Shire Band for sixteen years and was co-founder and lead trombone in Newcastle’s Civic Big Band. He has worked for the Newcastle, Riverina and Central Coast Conservatoriums and was the Head of Bands at the Upper Hunter Conservatorium from 2006-2012. He is now a classroom music teacher at Kildare Catholic College Wagga.
