Learning Music by Distance
Once upon a time if there was no music teacher in your town, learning music from a professional teacher was impossible. The Riverina Conservatorium beats the tyranny of distance through the ouse of state of the art video-conferencing equipment that allows remotely located students to access the RCM teacher of their choose with no need to travel.
Utilising Video-conferencing and Zoom, students need only have a PC, Mac, iPad or iPhone to have music lessons.
Currently, the RCM teaches many students who live hundreds of kilometres from Wagga Wagga. For some students the only access to a music teacher is through video-conferenced music lessons via the RCM. Students are located in remote communities such as Deniliquin, Bega, Young, Tumbarumba and Coolamon.
In many cases the RCM works with partnered Regional Conservatoriums. However, many other students are able to learn at school utilising specialist equipment already installed at the school. Please speak with your school to find out if your school has access to video-conferencing equipment.
For more information about learning music via distance please make a student enquiry to contact the RCM. Nowhere is too far away!
