Write Your Own Music: Songwriter and Composer Workshop

Over the course of the workshop, students will work with published Songwriter/Composer Joanne Burrows to expand their songwriting skills in a collaborative and inspiring environment.

Students will workshop harmony, melody, style, lyricis, ochestration, score layout, articulation, dynamic and basic arrangement.

Students are to bring their own instruments and copies of their favourite pieces to the workshop. If the student has a computer laptop, please bring this as well.

Session One: 10am - 12noon Grade 3 & Above Students

Session Two: 1pm - 3pm Beginner to Grade 3 Students

COST: $25 per student.

Pre-requisites:
Students may bring notated and/or recorded (phone recordings are fine) examples of composition ideas.
 
REMINDER: computer laptop, drafts of compositions currently started, recordings or notated versions, portable instruments if not piano.
