Featuring Dr Harold Gretton on classical guitar and Fran and Kieth Griffin on flutes, this program is centred on 'The Four Season of Buenos Aires' by tango great, Astor Piazzolla. No concert with guitar would be complete without a piece by 19th century guitar virtuoso, Ferdinando Carulli. The poignant story of The Little Match Girl will be brought to life in a new work by Fran Griffin. A charming work by the less well-known Charles Blum, his Three Nocturnes (le Bouquet), will be followed by the famous Waltz No 2 by Dmitri Shostakovich.
